Hi Diane,
My sister died of a similar heart condition at 24. It was life changing, to say the least. Thanks for your article and about valuing the life you have while you have it.

I remember this from when you were on Loveline. Is this how you got the job? you have such an easy way of taking what is personal to you and putting it out there.

Thank you, mr or ms Loveline. This actually happened about one year before i got the job on Loveline, but in many ways it did land me the role. I was so broken apart by the loss of my friend that I had to learn how to live life differently. I had to become more present in the moment – rather than depending on the past to define me or the future to inspire me. And that, combined with overcoming my grief is exactly what made me stand out to give advice. Thanks for your note

I’m so sorry to hear about your sister. I really do think there is a reason why things happen – even truly awful things. I believe you may find a gift from your sister’s passing at some point in your life. Which is not to say that it is ok that she died so young. Just that she may be looking after you and whispering words of advice to you …if you are ready to listen. Good luck in your recovery from your loss DF
